VMFS datastore comparison and use case NFS vs. iSCSI ?

Hi All,

Using the NAS device TVS-471 :: QNAP can anyone here please share some thoughts and comments about which VMFS data store technology NFS or iSCSI would be performing better for hosting high-performance VM like Exchange, SQL and SharePoint server ?

Thanks in advance.

rcporto‌, Thanks for the article.

So if I'd like to setup NIC teaming for the ethernet connection, which technology is better in terms of throughput to take between NFS and iSCSI ?

Hi AlbertWT,

Create LUNs with RAID10, Map to Targets at storage side and access using iSCSi. It will give you an awesome throughput.
