VMFS LUN > 2TB

Hi, we will be implementing ESXi 5, can someone provide instructions or a link on how to create a LUN > 2TB in size?

Thanks

you would create the LUN or your storage array in the same fashion as you would prior to vSphere5, then present it to your ESXi Host(s).  vSphere5 just allows you the option to go greater than 2TB minus 512bytes.  With that said, the limit for a single HDD for a guest is still set at  the ~2TB limit.

Troy, i though that the vSphere GUI did not allow creation of LUNs > 2TB and the only way to create LUNs up to 64TB is via CLI. If this is the case then it's instructions I'm after, or you saying that the LUNs > 2TB can be created via the GUI?

you can create the VMFS5 volume either through the GUI (vSphere Client) or the CLI.  This has not changed.
