VM can only see one RDM at a time.

I'm running Windows 2008 inside a VM. When I add two seperate RDM hard disks from a Dell MD3000i SAN, the Windows operating system only detects one of them. If I test each RDM sepperately on the same VM, they are detected and function normally, just not together at the same time.

what gives?

I found the problem.

I had to uninstall the Dell MDSM "Host" software from my Windows 2008 VM.

I was testing the MS iSCSI connection to a Dell MD3000i SAN within the Win2008 VM, and the Dell MDSM "Host" software is needed to make iSCSI work. Once I uninstalled the software, multiple VMware RDMs were available to the guest.
