I noticed on page 4 of the vSphere/3Par best practices document, that a maximum of 32 host initiators per port is suggested. It goes on to say that although HP supports 64 host initiator ports per 8Gb HP 3Par StoreServe Storage port, they only recommend/support 32 for hypervisors.
We have 4Gb ports and the current configuration shows more than 75 hosts per port. My question is - what real-world implications does it have to be beyond the 32 host initiator per port limit?
