Storage i/o Control - Error

Hello community,

i scream a big hello to the community Smiley Wink.

Her is my small mistake:

I wanna enable storage i/o control on my ESXi 5.1 (managed by vSphere 5.5 web client), datastore is a CX4-120 (latest flare).

But, there is a error message that i runs ESXi 4.1 ?! :smileyplain:

"The data store 'CX4-120' is connected to at least one host before version 4.1, does not support the Storage I / O Control."

germany:

"Der Datenspeicher 'CX4-120' ist mit mindestens einem Host vor Version 4.1 verbunden, der Storage I/O Control nicht unterstützt."

Anybody has an idea?

Both ESXi 5.1 Hosts was a full clean install (3 days ago), the VMs was deregistered on ESX 3.5 hosts and registered in the new cluster (vmware + vmhardwar updated).

thanks for help.

Hi Daniel,

Did you check the license on your hosts? Are the correct licenses applied?

Although SIOC require an enterprise plus license, sometimes the UI makes a mistake and makes the option visible. Once you enable it, the license is checked and you can receive this error.

Hopes this helps
