Single point of failure?

I just want a sounding board to figure out whether I am understanding this correctly.

There are multiple paths  to the storage array but they both reside on the same HBA which means that this host could not sustain an HBA failure and/or a Fabric failure.

Please note that this host is a Cisco UCS Blade.

Yes, you have many single points of failure. Possibly the adapter (depending on which one is being used), but definitely the FEX (IO Module) and Fabric Interconnect.
