We are running vSphere 4.1 Hosts with CX4-120 Storage Array. There is no Mulitpath/MV for vSphere installed on the hosts.
We would like to seek your advice whether we should use ALUA for the vSphere Hosts ?
Thanks
Hi,
you can try to configure ALUA. Well configured is a good thing. Performance can be improved.
Remember always to run the latest flare version.
Anyway ALUA wrong configured can lead to path trashing issues.
I would recommend you to check this information:

Hope this helps

cualquier respuesta útil o correcta. ¡¡Muchas gracias!!We have just gone live with 2 new NS4 unified arrays (the CX4 is doing the FC storage for ESX) we have FLARE 30 with the FAST2, FAST Cache etc.
We have set the ESXi 4.1 hosts up with PowerPath VE 5.4SP2 and on the CX we have set the ports to failover mode 4 (AULA).
We are currently see phenomenal throughput over both 8Gbs HBA ports on the ESX host.
