Rename ESX on the Clariion Host list

Hi All,

I have to rename the ESX hosts because we move to other datacenter and don't match the name convention for our standars.

When i renamed i was able to pull it back on the VCenter with the new name but in the Clariion i still have the old name and i want to have updated the names on the clariion.

I don't have installed navi agent installed and don't have powerpath in the ESX servers, is there any file on the ESX servers that keeps record of the name for the clariion.

Hi,

On the Clariion you have to unregister the host ESX and register it again using the current server name. You have to be aware that when you unregister the host, the host won't be able to see the LUNs until you register it again.
