I have a question about ALUA and Round Robin.
I am using a NetApp 3140 in an active\active configuration for a SAN. The NetApp is configured to use FCP. All ESX hosts are vSphere 4.0. The NMP was set to Fixed on the ESX servers. The hosts saw four paths to each LUN. 2 paths for the active controller and 2 path for the partner.
I then enabled ALUA on the NetApp and igroups. I set the ESX system default PSP for VMware Default ALUA SATP to use the Round Robin PSP. The ESX host only see 2 paths to the LUNs. Is this correct?
look like something wrong;
is it still only 2 paths after reboot?
could you please check what paths missing, for example esxcli nmp path list;esxcfg-mpath -b?
binoche, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA

esxcli nmp path list showed the two paths on the second controller as dead. I did a rescan on the hba and it discovered the other two path on the second controller. I didn't think it could be such a simple solution!
