Need some help with iSCSI "priority"

Hello everyone,

I apologize if this is a simple question, I tried to research it... but frankly my brain is fried and decided to ask for help 🙂

I am working with a vSphere 5.1 setup that includes 2 very powerful servers. The servers have 2 x 10GB NICs that are dedicated to iSCSI, 2 x 1 GB NICs dedicated to iSCSI and 8 1GB NICs dedicated to non-iSCSI traffic.

I want to prioritize iSCSI to run over the 2 x 10GB links (which are direct connects to the SAN), and use the 2 x 1GB connections as a sort of fail-over. Since iSCSI VMKs will not let me associate a standby adapter for them, I am not sure how I can assign some sort of priority to the VMKs that are attached to the 2, 10GB adapters.

Could someone point me in the right direction? I bet I am overlooking a document somwhere that allows me to configure this.

Thank you, Daren
