NPIV and boot from SAN

Hi all,

i've a physical ms windows machine that boots from SAN, we would like to recover it in a D/R environment with a dissimilar hardware. Is it possible to map the boot LUN on a virtual machine with NPIV enable? If it's possible, what's the correct sequence?

Thanks in advance

Ale

Ale,

you don't do this using NPIV. Just present the LUN to the ESX host(s), create a VM and assign the LUN as an RDM disk to the VM.

I think there should be pass-through RDM here,
