NFSv4 support in ESX(i) 4?

Howdy,

I'm attempting to connect to my NFS server from an ESXi 4 host. The server exports the file systems using NFS v4. I cannot connect so I'm guessing that NFS v4 is not supported by ESXi 4.

Is this correct? If so, has there been any discussion about a time frame for when it may be supported?

Thanks,

Mike

There is also another note.

NFS server must accept also root user.

Usually root are not allowed to use this server.

For Unix server you must use no_root_squash option.

As I know NFS support remain still at NFS3 over TCP.

Thanks, I figured out how to export the file system on the NFS server so that NFSv3 and v4 clients can access it.

You are absolutely correct - at this point in time only NFS v3 is supported.
