I have a singe VM with eight vWWNs assigned created by the ESX (4.1) server. The VM has a single raw device assigned so the ESX can see a path through the SAN and the switch is zoned etc. However when I power on the VM only the first, of the eight, vWWNs logs into the storage array. I can see a single Vport being assigned during the power on (I wrote a script to grep 'vPort' from /proc/scsi/lpfc820), I assumed the VM would assign eight vPorts, one for each WWN.
I have a bunch of other single WWN NPIV VMs setup that work fine, curious as to what I am doing wrong to get multiple WWNs.
