Maximum hosts per VMFS volume? Documentation bug?

Hello,

while studying material for VCP i came accross such misunderstanding. ESX configuration guide states that maximum host per volume is 32 (page 83). Configuration maximums says 64 (page 4)! Both docs are for vSphere 4.1. Hoping for VMware guys answer. I realy don`t have so much servers to test it Smiley Happy

I'm not 100% sure, however it seems the max. number of hosts per VMFS volume has been increased in 4.1.

see: http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/vmware-vsphere-features-comparison-ch-en.pdf (Page 11)

Increased number of VMware ESX/ESXi hosts per VMFS volume. Connect up to 64 VMware ESX/ESXi installations to a single VMFS volume.

Isn't that the max number of hosts per VMFS volume cannot be larger than max number of hosts in the cluster? (32)
