Looking at option to share a read-only VMDK among multiple VMs

Running vSphere 6.7 (latest patch release)

We currently have a need to have a read-only disk to be shared among several VMs

The disk will contain various maps and images that the VMs need to access at the same time.

The current storage is a NAS and we are using NFS and we have a created a Folder on the NAS for NFS Export called /data-ro

What steps do we need to look at for setting up the VMs to access a shared disk (vmdk)

thanks

better approach will be to export as read only ISO or folder and map/mount to a drive/filesystem as per OS.

VMDK become descriptor file and actual file convert into flat-vmdk once in use.
