Limiting IOPS

Is there an option or parameter in the Virtual Machines to limit the amount of IOP per second?

The reason I am curious about this is I noticed my throughput for my Windows 2k VMs are much slower ( 10 MB/s) compared to my new Linux VMs (RHEL5 35 MB/s)

I would like everything to write at the same speed. Is that possible?

There isn't, well there is disk shares, but that is different and only applies to VMs on the same host sharing the same LUN.

The difference you are likely seeing is due to load difference in the VMs and OS file system efficiency.
