Limit IOPS on a single disk using SIOC

I am looking to limit IOPS on a VM using SIOC. However I only want to limit the IOPS on a single disk not every disk on the VM. Is this possible ? Thanks for your help in advance.

The link / info references is just standard VM limitations, not SIOC.

You can place the vDisk wherever you want, the limit will only be on that vDisk on that one VM. You can also share the LUN out to other VMs and they will not have that limit imposed on them.

I think it should be

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=103824...

  1. Select Disk, and enter the desired IOPs value under Limit - IOPs for each disk. By default, this is set to Unlimited.

So using the example in the link we would have to place the disk on its own LUN and limit the IOPS to say 100 IOPS. Just to make sure can this LUN be shared with other VM's which have disk set to unlimited ?
