KVM Migrated VMs: Disk detachment

Hi,

I recently migrated a VM that was running from a KVM environment to VMware cluster. I converted the qcow2 disk to vmdk using the command: "qemu-img convert -f qcow2 -O vmdk -o adapter_type=lsilogic disk.qcow2 disk.vmdk". The VM ran on the VMware cluster without issues for a few days then later it started detaching the disk randomly while the VM is running. The disk intermittently detach itself from the running VM, causing the VM to be unreachable. The disk reattach only when I power off the VM and power it back on. This issue does not record any logs on the events and tasks of the VM, therefore making hard to trace. when the disk has detached from the VM, the summary  tab on the VM shows 0 KB on the hard disk. Kindly assist with this issue.

Hi @shadebe ,

Please check the VM disk sizes and ensure the capacity does not have any decimals(For ex: 15.4545 GB). If so, increase the disk capacity to 16 GB
