IOPs per ESXi or DataStore

hi guys

is there a way to get the IOPs per ESXi 4.1 server or DataStore?

We have a cluster with 3 ESXi 4.1 servers and we want to / we need to upgrade de Storage so in order to buy a better Storage device the Storage guy

asked me if there was a way to get the IOPs in total for ESXi or or DataStore

is there a parameter that I can set or use in performance Tab to get IOPs per let's say 3 days?

I was taking a look of vscsistats but I see that is per VM basis

is there any other way to measure IOPs per ESXi or DataStore or it can be only achieved per VM?

thanks a lot

I just added per DataStore since it is more practical since vMotion can affect results

Hi kopper27

What storage array do you have , you can use the tools that come with your array to get an , overview of the IOPs being generated on the datastore

thanks a lot nice script..... it throws a lot of errors and at the end I get a nice table with IOPS info....not sure the data is correct since it says 30 minutes but it shows the data as soon as the script finishes
