HP SAN MSA 2050 only seen at 90%

Hello!

I recently set up a ESXi 7.0 U3 for use with a HPE SAN (MSA 2050) of 120Tb.

I have created a LUN with the complete capacity (110Tb because of RAID) and connected it through a Mini-SAS cable from the SAN to the server (HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen 10).

ESXi sees the LUN, but at 100Tb only.

So I tried creating 2 LUNs instead, both of 55Tb each. ESXi still sees the LUNs, but at 50Tb each.

It's as if ESXi only sees 90% of the total LUN capacity.

I have tried to install ESXi with the HPE custom ISO, still same problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Yes! That was the issue.

The SAN showed capacity in TB whereas VMWare shows capacity in TiB.
