I'm seeing a great deal of Think Disk with saved space ranging form 200GB to 1TB and some are not in use. I see one with 3.5TB Thin disk saved and not even in use.
I'm think of attacking the 3.5TB 1st and migrate data to another LUN and do away with the 3.5TB LUN which is not even in use.
I think this is a good strategy but need some confirmation.
Note: Discussion successfully moved from vSphere Storage Appliance to VMware vSphere™ Storage
Are you trying to get the 95% full to go away or the fact that you are over provisioned to go away - or both?
Moving VMs off via Storage vMotion or other is a great approach to clean up, as it allows uptime for the VMs.
I'm actually trying to decrease the the 95% Full provisioning.
