HELP!! Missing LVM Disk Signatures

First of all, my systems are down so any help would be great!!

Today, I noticed that my VCB server was unable to complete a backup as it couldn't identify the LUNS with a VMFS on it. I rebooted the box and it still didn't work. My vSphere cluster was fine. Tonight I rebooted the cluster and now all the disks are gone!! It appears they are missing their disk signature and are not identified as VMFS volumes!!! Nothing has been deleted from these disks.

Is it possible to write a new disk signature to disks? The esxcfg-volume command doesn't see any volumes to start with!!!

Thanks!

Done this on a vSphere 4 host and all came back perfectly. Now to figure out what happened!!

I suggest you check your VCB proxy server and ensure the automount is disabled as a starting place.

Kind regards.
