Fibre-Channel luns disappear, ESX server gets rebooted and they come back.

I have heard of some issue with fibre-channel target luns disappearing. Rebooting the server restores the connections. Using Qlogic 4Gb HBAs, 3.5 ESX.. Happens once in a while. More of a nuisance, no data is affected. Is this an initiator problem? Has anyone experienced similar issues? SAN system is not the culprit, happens with any FC target on a vaiety of boxes.

This is not expected and not a known problem. Have you opened a trouble report with VMware about this?

Very strange problem.

Do you have some strange configuration in ESX advanced options?

If you look at your datastore path you can see all green?
