Facing issue in shrinking drive

I am on vmware 6.7 and Windows 2012 R2.

Committed error in my lab climate attempting to contract Drive C: from 80GB to 78GB.

Rather than contracting the 80GB drive I expanded some unacceptable drive VIPDEV1 which was 1gb and now it is 18GB.

I attempted to recoil it back to 12GB which it did however would not go any more modest.

Since that was done now VM won't boot. I get Module MonitorLoop power on fizzled.

Any guidance is enormously refreshing.

I can reestablish from back up however I need to gain from slip-ups and check whether this could be fixed.

On the off chance that conceivable please give interface on the most proficient method to appropriately recoil the volume. Much obliged.

Hi,

shrinking virtual disks could be tricky and not so easy. You have to use OS related tools. In your situation restoring from backup could be nessesary.

It explains that you should use vCenter Converter to rewrite a virtual disk to a smaller file.
