Error on ESX configuration when trying to specify swap file location

I am trying to specify a swap file location with my ESX servers and it worked on one of them but my second one keeps erroring out. I initially specified a location on this box and then turned it off, not it won't go back on. The error says "The object has already been deleted or has not been completely created". If I hit OK the edit button to specify a location is grayed out. I tried this through Vsphere as well as through Vcenter directly to the ESX box. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Environment Details:

ESX 4.0 Build 398348

Vsphere 4.0 Build 385281

Netapp 2240-2

NFS volumes

Have you tried checking if it spaced out when you first created it. Because if anything remais there it will give you an error.

I presume host is in maintenance mode. If not please move your vms , try putting your host in maintenance mode and change the swap location. Worst case scenario you might have to reboot the host

I ended up working with vmware support and they had me reboot the host in question. Once it came back up I was able to specify it and then my servers responded appropriately by placing swap files in that location. Thanks.
