I have an equallogic PS400E with only a half rack of drives, seven drives. I have been trying to find 7 more trays since I already have 7 extra hard drives. This unit is purely for backup replication my PS4000E. Does anyone have a solution for finding more trays since Dell won't sell them? Also, is there a way to just hook the drives into the Chassis via SATA cables and skipping the caddy. I realize the latter is far from best practice but I am grasping for solutions here. Finally, does anyone know who oem'd these older chassis and if there might be drive drays out there with a different brand name which might work?
