Disk Consilidation VM after consolidation VM not able to power on

VC -7.0 we have taken snapshot and did disk consolidation but VM not able to power on

Is snapshots present on the datastore level?  is any disk consolidation task running?
I recommended monitoring the task and not cancel the task that would cause data corruption or data loss.
