Dell MD3000i

I just build a new ESX cluster with a dell MD3000i and the problem I’m having is seeing the LUN’s

I can see in iSCSI Initiator the system has discovered the iSCSI Server Location and iSCSI targets no problem but when I then try to add new storage the system finds nothing. I have a buffalo iSCSI and had no problems adding the LUN’s.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm thought?

Your running Vcenter or your running a cluster of ESXi hosts with no Vcetner?

So you saying you see the new luns in Storage Adapter but not storage?

Have you power cycled the hosts that do not see the storage?

This is pretty easy from 4.0 on,  3.5 had some issues with it for sure though.

I almost asked....     but I had fears of offending.   You generally won't see the storage in Storage Adapter until it's mapped to the host and often a rescan has to be done.

We still run a ton of those MD3000i's in our enterprise.
