Is there no way to get this the VSA running on one quad port adapter?

This is actually what the KB article explains. With a preconfigured network setup, a brownfield installation is supposed to work with a single network card.

Take a look at e.g. http://notes.doodzzz.net/tag/vsa-brownfield-configuration/ with a sample configuration.

Are you asking for the prerequisites for a VSA deployment? If so, the VSA default installation requires at least two NICs, if the prerequisite check fails you will get this error message.

Thanks for the response.

Is this artical not a work around to only having one quad card?

Is there no way to get this the VSA running on one quad port adapter? I have two patches into the quad card, will I not be able to use 'brownfield' method of network config?

Thanks,
