Connecting a Physical Disk to a VM

I have a physical MS machine running Server 2003 that I need to retire.  It has 3-4 SAN LUNs attached to it with several TB of data.  I need to attach it to a Windows 2008 R2 VM.  I need all the data preserved of course... This should be as easy as presenting the LUNs to the ESXi 5 hosts, then adding existing disks to the VM right?

just make sure that the host has permissions to access the luns.

present to the host.

attach to the vm as a rdm
