I'm having a bit of trouble adding a shared vmfs volume on a fibre channel SAN to three esxi 4 servers, all can see the disk in the device list, and I have added the
storage to one of the servers and it is working, however when I attempt to add the volume to either of the other two servers, I get an error. Procedure I am following and resulting message below...
Configuration/storage/add storage > Disk / Lun Next (Disk is found and listed) > Select the disk, Next > keep the existing signature Next (All available partirions will be used meaage) > Next, Finish
I then get the message "cannot change the host configuration".
Any help any one can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Forget that, I have created a new volume and that has instanly appeared, available to all in the cluster. Not sure why that hasn't happened for the existing volume, but it's not a chore to get around.
