I have looked everywhere and ther eis no clear answer. Can SIOC and PowerPath be used at the same time on ESXi 4.1 Hosts?
Also, is there a new EMC PowerPath release supported for ESXi 5.0?
SIOC and Powerpath can be used both together, no problem.
Powerpath is just a Mulitpathing-Plugin that controls the usage of the available SAN paths for a LUN.
Storage IO Control is a mechanism to fairly distribute IO shares among VMs by controlling their queues' depth.
There is no interference between both.
According to the release date of an ESXi 5 compatible Powerpath version, I don't know, but I do not expect a great delay here.

I can confirm without a doubt they work together. I'm running PowerPath VE to both VMAX and DMX-4 and have SIOC running on both.
For PP for vSphere 5.0 just follow powerlink.
And be sure to check EMC AND VMware HCL.

I have been unable to find anythnig documented showing if PP is supported on ESXi 5.0
Powerpath will support ESXi 5.0 on day of release.
YAY!
Note, while we will have day 1 support, you will also likely need to install a PP update that day.
Thats understandable and expected. We have most of our DEV environment using 5.0 currently and are using MRU and RR. This is leading to performance limitations. I have adjust the queue dpeths of the HBAs and we are using SIOC to balance the loads, but PP makes a huge difference in overall performance.
