Advanced licensing does not have storage vmotion

I have a customer who has Advanced vSphere license.   He has a SAN and we'll need to move his disks to work on the SAN.  Since Advanced does not have storage vmotion what is best way to move disks?    Or, is it the GUI that Advanced does not have but can we still migrate storage using CLI:?

The best way would be to cold migrae this will allow him to move the storage location of the VM  - if he is not licensed you would not be able use he CLI to storage vMotion -

You can try hot clone from vCenter. No need to power off though.

How about using temp licenses to get around this? You would get access to Storage vMotion. As a VMware employee I probably shouldn't be proposing solutions like this. But is also a nice way of showing your customer the benefits they would get with Enterprise etc.
