Add existing datastore in existing datastore cluster

Hello,

I want to know, if I add existing datastore in existing datastore cluster, the datastore will be formatted ? No problem with compatibility ? The VM hosting on the datastore will not crash ?

Hi,

Absolutely not. However, before joining an existing datastore into datastore cluster or creating a new datastore cluster, you should follow datastore cluster requirement guideline from VMware vSphere Resource Management Documentation below.
