Excuse me for the beginner question, is it possible to store virtual machines on VMFS datastores to NFS datastores with vMotion?
Also Is it possible to do the reverse?
yes its possible in both directions. Storage vMotion uses storage api - so its independent of the underlying storage
Sure. SvMotion enables you to migrate between datastores of any kind. So you can do VMFS --> NFS, NFS --> VMFS, vSAN --> NFS or VMFS etc
This is possible.
I am using both VMFS & NFS datastores in my environment.
