256 Luns Max

Hi

Our environment has less than 256 luns -- but if the storage guys (Netapp Metrocluster if it matters) present a lun ID higher than 256 the esx hosts cannot see it. Is it a number max limit of 256 or a total number of Luns -- or indeed both?

I vaguely recollect from VC2.0 days some advanced config.....

yes you are correct, both!

max number of LUNs is 256, and they must be numbered between 0-255.
