2 Esxi-Hosts (VSpehre 5.5, HP DL380 G7) with two HP P2000 G3 SAS Storages: VMWARE HA and FT possible?

Our customer want to build the following scenarios: 2 Esxi-Hosts (VSpehre 5.5, HP DL380 G7) with two HP P2000 G3 SAS Storages. Each one of the two P2000 have 2 SAS Controller which are crossover cabled with the ESXi-hosts. The intention of this: when each ESXi-Host is connected to the two P2000 you have a redundancy on the Host-side and of the Storage-side. The P2000 G3 is in the HCL of VMWARE. In this scenario is it possible to use the VMWARE HA and FT - Features. Is there anyone who have this scenario in use? Attached you can find a best practices document about P2000 G3 and using the LUN.

As long as you present the same LUNs to both hosts, which is possible in this scenario, then yes, it shouldn't be a problem to use cluster features like HA/FT and vMotion/DRS/DPM.

No. As long as you don't have some sort of replication between your P2000s you only have a redundancy on the host side in this scenario. If one P2000 dies, so will the LUNs and VMs sitting on this node. Since there is no other copy of the data you can't restart these VMs until you get the P2000 back up (or restore some backups on the surviving P2000).
