We have recently updated the Perl SDK to 6.0 U2 which now supports RHEL 7.1, as seen in the vSphere SDK for Perl Release Notes

Hi Alan,

IHAC who has installed vSphere SDK for Perl 6.0 Update 2 (Build 3561779) on RHEL 7 and SDKs does not work as expected. It takes almost 3minutes for request to complete. I checked in vSphere SDK for Perl 6.0 Update 2 (Build 3561779) release notes, http://pubs.vmware.com/Release_Notes/en/viperl/60/vsp602_vsperl_relnotes.html. Under "Supported Platforms", I could see that RHEL 7 is not supported OS for this SDK, only RHEL 7.1 is supported. Can we recommend customer to continue using RHEL 7.0 with this SDK version or upgrade should be performed by customer? Do we have any plans of including 7.0 in upcoming releases?

Thanks,

Jyotika

I am getting really long request times with RHEL 6.8 also.  talking to VCSA 6.0u2.

Not doing anything crazy, just using the bundled vminfo.pl script for example .
