when can use quiescing for replication

Hi

what will be do Guest quiescing exactly do in vsphere replication ?

because when i enable that minimum RPO that can select is 15min  but if don't select that min RPO is 5 minutes

why ?

i read that KB but realy could not understand clearly can you say an example now what does means Quiescing in application and Quiescing file-system level ?

When talking quiesce snapshot the Virtual machine file system is quiesced , so you will have a crash consistent backup during the receovery.

one reason I can think off is since the quiesce snapshot takes time of there is lot of iops so there will be a rpo of 15 min than a regular snapshot which is faster as it does not do a quiesce .

if yes i check this box but did not get snapshot

i have check quiescing and after doing replicate and also during replicate i saw the files did not get snapshot please see attach pics there is not any snapshot files in datastore also no snapshot for vm
