vSphere Replication - Essentials Plus within the same DataCenter. No VSAN.

Hi,

I plan to get two 2x R720 servers with VMware Essential Plus license.

Each of the servers have 8x 600 GB 15K SAS drives.

Questions:

1. Can I replicate VMs from Server 1 to Server 2 via vSphere Replication. No VSAN.

2. One of my VMs is MS SQL server with 5 disks. Is there anything I should what out for ?

I would really appreciate any official documentation from VMware stating this is possible.

vSphere replication works with Essentials Plus license, refer to this administration guide http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-replication-58/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/vsphere-replication-58-adm... (page no. 19)

Also regarding within the same DC, refer page no. 7, where it is stated that VM replication can be across 2 different site as well as within a single site from cluster to another.
