Hello,
I'm trying to upgrade our vSphere Replication appliances from 6.5.1 to 8.1.1. We are running vCenter 6.5u1.
After deploying the OVF I start the appliance. It prompts that there is already an appliance and asks if I want to upgrade or install anyways.
I choose upgrade.
It then prompts for the root password of the old replication appliance. After I enter it it ties to connect and then errors out saying.
unable to access VR [ipaddress] appliance remote command has failed
I have verified that I'm entering the password correctly. There is no firewall between the two VMs, unless the appliance itself has one that I'm unaware of. The IPs are on the same subnet so not gateway.
I've spend an hour trying to find some help online and have found no mention of this error at all.
Any ideas?
