replication between 3 sites

Hello all, need some help, please.

I have 3 sites. Site A, B and C.
At this moment, Site A is paired with site B and replicating VMs (A->B - Datacenter migration). Both vSphere replication appliances don't have a second interface to replication traffic.
I will need to also pair site B with Site C (Site C will be the Disaster Recovery site), but i want to have replication appliance with a second interface dedicated to replication traffic.
How do that configuration? Do i need to deploy a second replication appliance on site B with a second interface and pair it with site C? If i need to do that, when i finish the migration from site A to B, how do i destroy the pairing between site A and B, and "make" the second appliance on site B the principal one?

Thanks.
Regards.

Hi @Petersaints ,

If you cannot add 2nd interface on VR appliance at Site B, then you can deploy a add on server here and add 2nd interface on it for replications.
Note: You cannot add more than one VR appliance(management/primary appliance), however you can add additional servers under it for load balancing/managing replications.  Pairing from Site B to C would use the existing appliances and when you configure VM replications, you can select the add-on servers.

Deploy add-on VR server

Register add-on VR server to primary server

Isolate traffic on add-on server

Hope that helps

@Petersaints ,

You cannot change add-on server to primary or vice-versa.

Hi @ashilkrishnan ,

Thanks for the reply. If i add an add-on server on Site B,when i finish the datacenter migration from site A to B, can i change the role of that add-on server to primary appliance and delete the first one?

Thanks.
