VSphere Replication 6.5 not showing on VCenter 6.5

Newly deployed VCSA 6.5 server - working fine - no issues

Newly deployed VRSA 6.5 server - working fine - able to register with VCSA

VSphere web client (flash) does not show the VPSphere Replication icon

I can see the VR Management Extension

When I click on it, I can see the VR machine

Just can't do any replication - no context menu, etc

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Steve

I hope you have already tried logout, restarting browser and trying another browser.

Have you checked the time sync between the two? Also verify the FQDN resolution both from VCSA and VRSA.

Thank you,

Sandeep

The times are synced

Both servers can ping each other using FQDN and reverse lookup

If I un-register the  VR server, I can see it removed from VCenter

I then register it, and it show up again in VCenter - I don;t see any errors in the VCenter log

There must be something that's stopping the addition of the VR features to VCenter

I am out of ideas :smileysilly:.

I had seen such an issue once with NSX Manager registration. I had to re-install NSX Manager and vCenter for it to work.

What build of vCenter and what version of vSphere Replication? Can you show screenshots of your vR VAMI configuration pages?

VCenter Server 6.5.14000

VSphere Replication : 6.5.0.1104

Solution

1. Ripped both VCenter and Replication appliances out

2. Installed VCSA 6.5.0 build 175115524 (same as before)

3. Installed VR 6.5.1.2243 7184803 (newer)

4. Registered the VR with VCSA

Saw the VR server register in VCenter

Still no VR features / menu items / or icons

5. Re-booted VR

6. Logged out of VSphere

7. Logged back into the VSphere (flash) - Everything was there working (fell off chair 🙂  - able configure replication of servers

Have no idea what piece went wrong ... just thankful it's working

I had the same issue with vSphere Replication : 6.5.0.1104 and resolved by removing it and install vSphere Replication 6.5.1.2717 instead.
