Hi,

There is a known issue with upgrading VR to version 5.5 described in the release notes here: VMware vSphere Replication 5.5 Release Notes. The suggested workaround is to restart the vSphere Web Client. Can you try this?

Did you do a upgrade from 5.1 to 5.5 for both vCenter and VR? Can you double check the version of both to see if they match?

Joanne

Hi again,

glad that the issue is resolved, even though you must not restart the whole VC but just the Web client.

On the second question - there is no scheduled replication, even for the RPO. What you can do is to put the RPO in 20 to 24 hours and do a manual sync once at night. Thus the next sync will happened near to the RPO set. Keep in mind that the bigger the RPO is the bigger data lost you can have in case of disaster.

Hi,

Configuration of the replication can't be automated since VR does not have public API. However, if the replication is configured, probably you can check this article virtuallyGhetto: HBR (Host Based Replication) CLI for SRM 5 for automating pause/resume replication. Keep in mind that I haven't tried that at all.
