Second Nic Replication Appliance

Hello Guys

In vSphere Replication 6.5.1.1832 we add second interface by isolate the traffic.

The configuration is :

eth0:

IP: 5.5.5.5

Mask: 255.255.255.0

Broadcast: 5.5.5.255

eth1

IP: 10.10.10.10

Mask: 255.255.255.192

Broadcast: 10.10.10.63

The default route in etc/sysconfig/network/routes is

default 5.5.5.1 - -

Now when show the VAMI post config, the default gateway show in the eth1 and the eth0 not show gateway in VAMI.

I changed the config in VAMI but not permit and show the error "it is not possible to make the configuration"

Now in the ifcfg-eth0 file add the gateway but post reboot the Replication not response.

Someone has had this problem, how can it be solved?

Regards

Sebastian

Why do you want to add two gateway in Appliance.

You should only configure one default gateway.

For second NIC you can just add static routes as per requirement.

I had to add a static route as well to properly route over the dedicated interface.  It works fine.

I have an issue with add the static routes information to /etc/sysconfig/network/routes file

For instance to add a line to the file for example

192.168.101.0/24 192.168.101.1 dev eth1

After reboot the print route doesn't update the GW to routing table

If I add the route manually, it works fine

route add -net 192.168.101.0/24 gw 192.168.101.1 dev eth1

Is there a syntax issue??

or am I missing a step.
