SAS attached storage to FC attached storage

Hi,

I'm in the process of designing a BC/DR solution using VMware SRM utilizing vSphere Replication. Our production site ESXi 5.5 servers are SAS attached to the storage whereas our DR site ESXi 5.5 servers are FC attached to the storage. I'm wondering if this is a supported configuration, SAS attached to FC attached?

thanks..

Exactly. That's one of the main benefits of vSphere Replication. It's host based so the underlying storage doesn't matter.

For vSphere Replication, if the storage is supported by vSphere for placing VMs, it is supported for vSphere Replication.

I know vSphere supports SAS attached storage but in my case the primary ESXi servers are attached using SAS and the secondary ESXi servers are attached using FC storage. So you're saying it doesn't matter from what storage protocol to what storage protocol, the vsphere replication will support?
