I'm a network guy so i don't now the spesifics when it comes to the vmware and such topics. As far as i know our system engineer is doing replication of virtual machines over ipsec vpn connection.
We used to use Fortigate firewall on both sites and it was working quite well then. But couple months ago we switched over to Sonicwall utm devices. (we are using the same encryptions on vpn)We are having random replication drops due to communication error. We don't the continuity license so if vpn drops replication fails and has to start over. We lost a lot of time and replications are overflowing to daytime. We are 4 days behind our schedule.
Some articles on internet saying that it's related to mtu size issues but we are using the same 1500 mtu size on both sites over wan interface.(it used to be the same with fortinet)
This has also started happening on another two sites we recently switched over from forti to sonicwall.
Have you ever experienced such issue?
Any help would be appreciated.
