I everybody ,
I have two hosts in the same site, in a standalone mode but inside the same vcenter with standard licences
Each host own 3 VMS .
Is it possible to replicate the vms on each other on the same vcenter and without cluster ?
Host 1 = VM1+VM2+VM3 & [VM4+VM5+VM6 replication]
Host 2 = VM4+VM5+VM6 & [VM1+VM2+VM3 replication]
I've got enough disk and it will be very secure to run the replicates in a few minutes in a case of problems with one host.
Thanks you ,
Hi ,
If you are using vSphere 5.1, Yes you can use VMware Standalone vSphere Replication , since vSphere Replication is included in Standard Lincenes.

Ok Thanks !!!
What I'm currently not aware of is an official documentation on how (if not manually) to activate a Replica, if the host on which vCenter Server and/or the Replication Appliance were running fails!?
André
PS: Discussion moved from VMware ESXi 5 to vSphere Replication
I think that in this case , you must have a backup of you Vcenter & appliance to restore on the second host that is already running .
After that you can recreate you replication on the first host ....
I someone has a better idea ???
