I know this has been asked and answered. I saw a couple answers of "just recover into a different folder". Well that didn't work. I have tried it every way i can think of. Different Data Centers, different folders, clusters.
Here is my setup now. I am going from one datastore to another. Both hosts can see both datastores. VMGuest Replicates fine. When i attempt to recover into Folder2 on host 2 I get this error "The name 'VMGuest' already exists." Thanks

-Folder2

It might be a silly questions - but you are talking about creating a Virtual Machine folder, right? The VM's name availability check is performed by the VC itself, and not VR. This means that the virtual machine folder you are using for recoverying is the same place where your original machine resides.
To create a VM folder, go to a specific datacenter under the VMs and Templates view, right click on the datacenter->All vCenter Actions->New VM and Template Folder. Now, when you recover the replicated VM chose this new folder.
Hope this helps.
Ok, I must admit. I did try that, but i must have failed to expand the Datacenter properly when it asks to choose the folder. So I gave up on that method and tried the one listed in my original post.
And yes, what you suggested worked. THANKS!!
