Replicating a VM between an Intel Host and an AMD Host

Has anyone had any experience with using vSphere replication to replicate a VM between cluster of Intel hosts and a cluster of AMD hosts?

I got asked this question the other day and unfortunately I only have Intel hosts in my test/demo lab so can't carry out any checks.....

I know that the only safe way of migrating a VM from an Intel host to an AMD host is to use cold migration (ie power off VM), but does this also apply if you're going to use replication as a 'migration' tool.

I'm aware vSphere replication can only occur if the source VM is powered on as it will do an initial copy/seed and then use CBT for replicating changes...... but given that the target VM is powered off, am I correct in assuming that this is a form of "cold migration"?

This works with Veem replication solution with VMware hosts.

It even seems to work with Hyper V- replica.

Hyper-V 2012 R2 replica from INTEL to AMD? - Spiceworks

As per me, it works for even vSphere Replication as well. However, I will come back here with confirmation.

I confirmed it.

vSphere replication to replicate a VM between cluster of Intel hosts and a cluster of AMD hosts. It just works fine with no any issues.
